Scania 94D car transporter

Kit / Model

Scania 164L 580V8

Manufacturer

Italeri

Item Code

3819

Scale

1/24

Description

This is my latest model, it is a Scania 94D car transporter.
This type of truck is not build in series production but it is build in order of the owner.
It is mostly in use for to transport cars very quickly for dealers and lease company’s without loosing mush time by loading and unloading the truck. The truck pulls a small trailer to transport an extra car

The chassis of the model came from a incomplete Scania from Italeri (3819) that I had find on the internet. The day cab is from KFS and transport body is build by my self. The upper and lower floor is made from two trailer floors of a Italeri trailer (3809). The rest is made of plastic sheet. The front part of the upper floor can be raised to till the cab. To lower the height of the truck I have replaced the wheels for smaller ones.

The trailer is an old Monogram kit and is build out of the box. Because I some times build kits of cars I like, I did already have cars to load the truck.
