Mercedes 500K/AK Cabriolet Part 1

Kit / Model

Mercedes 500K/AK Cabriolet

Manufacturer

pocher

Item Code

K80

Scale

1/8

Description

Well the beast is in progress, I already have ready the motor, which is a little miracle having in account all the worst parts one has to confront.

The other nightmare it was to paint the huge body!!!! I used a lot of Tamiya enamel bottles in an bestial orgy of painting that demanded two sessions with lost of sanding…..etc. Usually painting technique allows me to have only one session but this is Pocher and could be less than two of one hour each. I think that when this was finished I had given 20 coats at least. Next will be polishing waxing and asking God for this goes so good as in the dryfit which needs one week!!!!

I have added more pictures, one of them compares the size of the motor versus a Tamiya motorcycle box kit.

Mario, este modelo es espectacular, llevo tiempo buscando un Rolls Royce Phantom II de Pocher y no he podido ubicarlo. Estaré pendiente de ver cómo queda

Really impressive stuff mario. that takes a tremendous amount of skill and patience, you are blessed with both.
I can see now why your trucks had so much detail. you build some really beautiful models.
