Description

This field ambulance was seen at Kasserine Pass and was probably a field conversion. The basis for this idea came in the form of an old American Halftrack wasting away in the spare parts box. I salvaged a few items from
the Tamiya Rover Ambulance to convert the interior of the halftrack. Hand brush painted in a dark olive, washed in black and brown mix and drybrushed with a dust colour. Markings were hand painted except for the star on the hood. A tarp was added to the vehicle made from thin packing foam for electronics. Extra items such as packs, blankets, spare tire and stretcher all came from the parts box.
Halftrack was weathered with pastels, the figures are Italeri, the wall was constructed stone by stone and the ground cover is sand from a Railway shop.
