Lancia Stratos HF Stadale

This was another interesting conversion..

My Client wanted a 1:12 Stratos model that replicated his own full size car which is a rare HF Stradale model with no wings or spoilers.

As a starting point the old (very old) Doyusha kit was used. Not much needed to be changed as there was little difference between these cars wether road, race or rally versions it all came down to spoilers or wheels. The dashboard was the only difficult part, this had to be scratch built as the item supplied with the kit was a 'full-on' rally dashboard. the only other change was the air filter which had to be built from scratch

All of the badging and bright work, number plates etc was redrawn and photographically etched onto nickel silver and the various 'stratos graphics' were reproduced as dry lettering
