The black is the plastic. and the copper is going to be copper sheeting that I'll burnish on. The mounts are what came with the kit.

Very nice. The hull is painted "gloss black", is there a particular reason for this, it looks great by the way, I'm just curious as to why gloss. Also where did you find the mounts for your ship. Are they modified in some way ? I look forward to seeing more of your build.
