Description

This kit is the first 1/20 release by Hasegawa. I started this kit quite some time ago and so far the level of detail and the fit of parts is realy great. The parts have a lot of details already moulded in; nevertheless there is room for additional detailing. Main addition is the engine wiring.

Currently a lot of subassemblies are prepared like engine, gearbox and monocoque and now I am starting to put them all together.

Made some progress on the assembly. Gearbox and engine are assembled including rear wing stay. Engine and gearbox are wired completly.

Just a little update on the progress; I finished the front suspension including brake wiring and started the radiatir detailling after glueing the chassis and engine. In parallel the cowling was painted.

Progress has slowed down over the past weeks due to other acitivities. The chassis assembly is now basically complete with only the seat missing. wiring and tubing has been added to the dashboard and the radiators. Now I am waiting for a seat belt set to complete the chassis and will do the decaling in the meantime.

Kit is now almost complete, the decals are finished and a modified front cowling fixation made. Only missing step is to attach the mirrors and windscreen.

Completed the final details of the kit this week and took some pictures today. Overall a great kit and fun to build.
