Surf Bug

Kit / Model

Volkswagen New Beetle

Manufacturer

Tamiya

Item Code

24200

Scale

1/24

Description

Painted with Testors Lacquer. Lime Gold Green. The gray areas are sprayed with texture paint then brush painted with a dark gray color. Simulates some of the textured plastic body panels very well.

The wheels are from a Childrens Toy Tractor (Hot Rod John Deere)

The surfboard on the roof was applied to a roof rack from an accesssories kit by Fujimi (I think). The Board is real wood. It was ordered off of ebay then sanded extensiveley to get the appropriate thickness for that scale. The wood was then finished and pin striped.
