The rear leaf springs and axle were replaced with fabricated brass parts soldered together. The shocks are machined aluminum and brass.
This is the left side before attaching the traction bar mount to the spring assembly. All brass, including the axle tube.
This is the basic assembly of the right side leaf spring with the traction bar mount installed to the axle tube

I have started to paint the chassis and exhaust…

The rear suspension is going in. Mounting hardware is machined aluminum. The left side traction bar is partially installed at this point.
The pumpkin was cut from the Camaro kit’s axle assembly and textured and weathered.
The scratchbuilt (aluminum) Corvette front monoleaf suspension parts are getting installed too…
