Description

The Honda Monkey is a legendary mini-bike.
It was "born" in 1961, and is still produced in 2012.
The first ever monkey bike, the Z100, was designed as an amusement park attraction,
and was followed by many versions throughout the years.
The Monkey denomination is related to the position of a driver on the bike.

This model is manufactured by IMAI, it's 1/4 scale.
Not that so easy to find on the web, due to the limited production numbers.
Three versions are available: the baby tracker with the 2001 HRC colors,
a gold-plated and a chrome-plated version.
Anyways, this is of little importance, because with the huge variety of paints schemes
existing on the real stuff, your fantasy is the limit.

Although this is a very expensive model, no doubt it will bring you many hours of building fun, so it is a good value for your money.
The quality is similar to the Tamiya 1/6 motorbikes models.
Some parts of model are mounted like the ones on the real bike.
Many parts are screwed in place, others have been glued with cyanoacrylate.
Weight is a hefty 1.2 kg, this is a heavy model!

Engine was painted with alclad white alu and the side covers are polished.

The front headlight is originally chrome-plated, and the orange turn signals (both front and rear) were painted with alclad chrome.
Other parts are metal plated chrome or zamak.

This model was a enjoyment.
