Ferrari 248 F1 Studio27 1/20 scale

Kit / Model

Ferrari 248F1

Manufacturer

Studio 27

Item Code

FR2017

Scale

1/20

Description

This is one of the latest release of the prolific Japanese manufacturer Studio27. After several researches on the web and on F1Modeling magazine, I realized that the reference version should be the Malaysian one raced on March 2006.
It’s a multimedia kit, according to the Manufacturer standards, curbside version. As usual, the quality of any single component is not bad. The bodywork, made of grey resin, shows a fine surface, rather clean, no air bubble or distortions are present. Engraving is not perfect and somewhat on the soft side. Shape has something wrong in its length and the nose section is too rounded.....
Instructions are very (too) simplified, short notes in Japanese and English and a simple decals guide chart. In order to have a faithful replica, I bought a set of Marlboro markings from Tabu Design (TAB20011 http://www.hlj.com/product/TAB20011).
